Pyjama Party Class

This Easter it's ALL happening at The Workroom! We have the builders in and walls coming down and paint splashing about and general chaos with a masterplan!

All this exciting spring newness has meant that we were relocated for this holidays teen sewing programme back to St Anne's Hall.

Val's Teens Pyjama Party class has been hugely anticipated by our older girls and the class was so much fun! Fabric had been picked out in advance and embellishments carefully planned and packed..they were raring to go!

The Pyjama party class involved measuring themselves, making a bespoke pattern, pattern cutting and making a pair of pyjama trousers as well as planning, designing and embellishing a pyjama top to match! All this over twolong mornings sewing. These girls were ON IT!

Measurements were taken ( much hilarity). Patterns were made on spot and cross pattern paper. Fabrics were cut out and sewing machines whirred. All of our girls were relative beginners with thwie sewing machines, they'd mostly taken Get To Know Your Sewing Machines Teens Edition which which was a great foundataion class (and we will be repeating this next school hols) but with the confidence of youth they set to it!

Aren't they fabulous?! These girls deserve a huge well done for their work and creativity

The feedback from this class has been so fantastic so a huge thanks to Val and Claire who ran the class. We'll be back in the summer holidays to make more Pyjamas with teens so watch out for that class when the Summer/Autumn schedule is launched in the next couple of weeks. xx
