We've had a huge pile of new fabric arrive in a huge glut this week, which is just as well as we were getting a bit shopped out before the half term. I've been cutting fat quarters at home this weekend and it's bought me into dangerous proximity with too much delicious fabric. It was bound to end in a make-athon!
Obviously it's all in the name of Research & Development as I try out new tweaks to my bag and purse patterns ahead of the PopUp Classes - but this was completly indulgent making. I just love this new Retro Orchard line - great colours and prints right up my Folk Art/Orla-esque avenue.
As for our usual PlainStitch obsession of figuring out for our customers 'What Goes With What?' - this one is easy - it goes with everything!
Those of you who love a grapey plum colour will love the new Flurry colourway and it matches almost perfectly with the Lotta Jansdotter leaves that we've struggled to keep in stock since it came out.
If you're in the sizeable Lime Green Lovers camp then these prints all work fabulously - especially the sprouts print - love that!
Obviously we have a thing for rich raspberry pinks at PlainStitch - that shelf never runs dry! The apple print is just the perfect luscious shade of pink.
The Orchard print is perfect for a statement, this months lampshades and fabric baskets classes are going to love it. We needed a new shade in our little library cupboard in the playroom so this was a completely justified make!
So the shelves at The Workroom are chock full again. Retro Orchard, lots of Prairie and a complete restock of dots of all shades and types, ooh and new coloured cherries ( they're soft blue, oh how we love those cherries) so we're ready to open up again this week and welcome you back in.
