This season it's all about Blue!

It's been a busy old week at The Workroom again this week - days passing in a colourful blur.

We're preparing gorgeous colourful samples for our soon to be announced Teens classes...we all want to be 13 again and wear a Moon Bunnies Flippy Skirt with jazzy hot pink contrast lining...sigh..

The Wendover Sewing Bee was bathed in sunlight as we squashed into the hall again, this group keeps growing and growing, it's so lovely to welcome so many new members again - I am going to have to switch to panoramic to get a shot of everyone - sorry peeps on the edges I was already standing in the foyer to get a wide enough angle for this shot! What a lovely warm and chatty morning it was...so many gorgeous projects coming about. Check out our Wendover Sewing Bee Facebook Page if you are a Bee member. Just e mail me to get an invitation to our closed Facebook group.

We collected an enormous generous pile of fabrics for our Wendover Remembers project to make our kids poppy blocks from - they look so lovely just piled up like this - you can tell it will be a winner! Thank you all so much!

Everyone was sewing with a summery palette all of a sudden. Love Tracy's Mini Hex Sewing Case... really want to make one of those!

I had my Littlest Miss Stitch away from school this week with a nasty cold and earache. She got to pack up her mini granny bag and hexi project and come and hang out at the Bee - she was so spoilt!

On Tuesday night we made fabulous fabric baskets but I was hopeless and took no pics apart from of this recently finished Simple Sampler - wow Maxine it is gorgeous!! Lovely soft springy colours!

Claire has been running Up Summer Al Fresco Placemats as class samples for her class in June.

Look how well they go with my plates..........wanties xx

I've been playing with a new style of Granny Bag Handle. Loving this new Navy Petal and Plume print by Bari J from Art Gallery Fabrics. Given that 90% of my wardrobe is a variation on navy I figured that this bag would get some serious use! Had a bit of a play with rounding corners and a different handle treatment to make it all a bit of a boxy shape. Love it.

At the moment it is holding the bits for a new sashiko project that i'm having a little dabble with.....so many projects so little time....

What have you been sewing this week?
