Yesterday The PlainStitch Workroom went on Retreat. It was just the most fun filled, warm and lovely ( oh, and well fed! The food was amazing!) day of supportive, like minded ladies of all ages and life stages, bought together by a shared love of sewing. I'm often really proud of the PlainStitch world I'm lucky enough to inhabit. But yesterday in a warm sun dappled hall, with the low humm of sewing machine and chat, punctuated by squeals of laughter, offers of cuppa, fabric sharing, ideas fermenting, skills generously offered, life stories and latest tv gossip swapping, I looked up from my sewing, looked down the long hall packed to the rafters with lovely people i've met along the way and I felt so lucky. Thank you ladies, it was a blast x
